I developed a fully interactive space and published a game title specifically for the event — IDA. The space was an interactive gallery of student work with puzzle elements which required various levels of participation. Parts of the gallery were accessible online, parts at the booth itself, others through QR code deciphering, and still others via red tinted glasses and the solving of riddles. The goal was to incorporate participation and involvement in order to achieve not only interest, but lasting memories of Becker College.
The challenge of drawing people to Becker’s booth was met by deploying a deck of 8 puzzle cards and red tinted glasses, only fully decipherable after viewing elements within our space. Here a crowd has gathered, walking inside and around our space in order to master the puzzles — these were distributed two or three times each day of the 3 day long event with great success. I also designed the game with the desire to reach a wide age range as well as those without smart mobile devices or inadequate service at the event.
