I think often of how to ‘blend’ the small screen that would hold eyes or other features or whole face and the the paper that would be the rest of her. Is there need for plexi in front of all of it to help with the illusion — I strongly think yes.
Life size, front and back — the front is of her front, the back is of her back. She’s surrounded in black. The frame around her is 3 sided, wood, but with secret arcane symbols. The width should be human width. Her feet touch the ground. Motion detection. Audio is ambient, unearthly, emitted from various parts of her and her archway. Possibly my poem is triggered — the one about the last word is your name? Sometimes not quite recognizable speech.
Alternative1:
Again life size, but sectioned up similar to how a magician would cut up a woman. In multiple boxes, each with screen. You have to pull ‘swords’ out of her and she reacts. Not necessarily swords, but something to pull/push in/out and when you do, the video images of her [maybe just face or eyes] react like you’re hurting or helping her or pleasing her.
Alternative 2:
She is in separate ‘boxes’ with SAND [black sand] covering them and is horizontal — on the ground. You have to push aside the sand but keep it in the box, in order to reveal her like an archaeological exploration — maybe magnetic sand so you can use a magnet ‘brush’ and not have to worry about the sand being removed. Would the archaeology one be screens or still/printed images or 3d prints that stuck out of printed images just a bit?
