PAX East is the largest game convention held on the East coast, and one of the largest in the nation. Each year hundreds of top name vendors and tens of thousands of excited gamers attend this event to see the latest releases by software and hardware developers from across the globe. Becker College is one of only a handful of educational organizations to have a booth at the convention and I take the opportunity to offer showcase space for the top student games of the year — just as the other studios do.

For our very first year, I had only two months [on top of regular duties] to develop our exhibit. Three seniors from the program, Amanda Theinert, Matt Silvia, and Joe Bartlett, created a senior game featuring customizable characters in a multiplayer racing sim.

My roles which I have continued all subsequent years since this start, include exhibit organizer, curator and developer of the student gallery showcase, theme designer, materials designer including swag, t-shirts, trading cards, and posters, and booth designer.

Adventure was our first theme!
