VR Space Across 3 Time Periods

For this VR experience input is very important. We keep looking at wireless mice, game controllers, Myo armbands, the Kinect, Perception Neuron, and the Leap for interaction. Theinert and I saw and reviewed some other new wireless input devices. The Nod for instance, looks quite promising. Maybe Ximmerse?

In this experience, I was considering various forms: 1) back in the 1500’s with monks milling about and practicing their lifestyle 2) during the deteriorated stage when it was abandoned with interactive relics 3) during the restoration phase that occurred after it was moved to a museum with the ability to learn more about the various processes from a restorer that the user approaches.

In all three, interacting with relics which happen to be on shelves and under rocks as well as speaking with the restorers and monks that you need to trigger by patting them on the back or walking under the giant fireplace to locate, could be a really immersive experience if you could use your body rather than a menu screen, mouse, or controller.
