Agas mask on a small base. wounded human, past warrior, future warrior, android, gimp, alien

It will move to follow sounds and cock its head side to side

It may rock back and forth to any extended play of music, if more than 6 seconds detected

If you approach it and talk to it [near it], it would behave like a dog (i.e. poses) who tries to listen and comprehend

Listens for loudest sound to direct its attention toward. If loudest and second loudest are close to one another <within X in direction> it may choose to average the direction for focusing its attention

Movements: +/- 45 degrees around X axis from start; +45 degrees around Y axis from start; +/-60 degrees around Z axis from start

Recommended corner location since it cannot turn its head all the way around

Servos must be very quiet/silent/muffled — mask can make incidental noise.

Photoresistor on top of head for ambient

Hall Effect sensor for distance approach detection of an object/person, in nose

Motion detector between eyes

Mics in ears

Finite State Machine:

  • asleep: head tilt down, could be slightly turned w/ probability
  • occurs: lights out, no detections above threshhold for more than 60 minutes
  • from bored
  • bored/idle: very minor degree rotations so its natural state is not perfectly erect and forward — these minor rotations would be randomized each time.
  • occurs: NOT asleep, no detections above threshhold for more than 6 minutes
  • from focused, dance, convulsion
  • perkup/chase: erect if approach/motion detection, rotate if audio
  • occurs: detects audio, detects motion, detects light, detects object is close
  • can happen from asleep, bored, dance
  • moves back to bored after 6 minutes [focused has not been intiated]
  • focused/attack: follows the loudest sound
  • occurs: from/after perkup only.
  • moves back to bored after 4 minutes of no stimulus
  • dance: detects music [can I detect rhythm?] for 6+ seconds
  • occurs: from asleep, bored, perkup, focused
  • 30 day convulsion [any time in a 30 day period]: goes through a sequence, slightly random, as if it had detected something you cannot see that excites it and communicates with it
  • occurs: from bored
